Sweden used for many years camouflaged shelter covers, but the uniforms were plain coloured. The Swedish firm Barracuda developed a camouflage pattern that was not used by the Swedish Army. In 1990 the M90 camouflage pattern was introduced.
Swedish Camouflage Patterns
- Quartershelter used during the 1960ies and 1970ies
- Barracuda test pattern - never adopted. The photo shows it in use on the tarpaulin of a Swedish Army truck. It was also used for uniforms.
- M90 pattern - there is also a desert version of this pattern
- M90K pattern - Introduced in 2004, this is the standard pattern worn by Swedish military contingents serving in desert regions.
