QwaQwa was a tribal homeland in the easter region of Republic of South Africa from 1974 until 1994.[1] The region was set aside for Sesotho-speaking people and granted nominal self-government in 1974.
QwaQwa had no Defence Force, but the QwaQwa Police Force was established in 1983.
QwaQwa Camouflage
- Although not completely verified, there is some possibility that the camouflage design seen below was created for use by the QwaQwa Police Force. This pattern has traditionally been attributed as a "test" pattern for South Africa - Transkei.
