Serbia was part of Yugoslavia and later "Serbia and Montenegro" until 1996. Despite being a part of Yugoslavia Serbian police units did use some patterns that what not used by the other member states of Yugoslavia.

Greek lizard used by Srpska Dobroljacka Garda ("Serb Volunteer Guard" - also known as Arkan's Tigers) - led by Arkan (Zeljko Raznatovic). It was founded in 1990 and fought in the wars in Croatia and Bosnia. Article on Wikipedia
